Port City Kids’ Group, Inc. (parent company to Port City Gymnastics and Port City Elite Cheer) along with Hampton Inn, Eastwood Road/University Area, is proud to announce that they have been chosen to host the 2010 North Carolina State Levels 7-10 Gymnastics Championships.
FOR THE 2ND YEAR IN A ROW, PORT CITY GYMNASTICS has been awarded the honor of hosting a North Carolina State Gymnastics Championship. These Championships are held at the end of each competition season to determine the Regional qualifiers. This year, we will be hosting over 375 gymnasts from all areas of North Carolina, each competing for a chance to advance to the Regional Competition. Port City Gymnastics has eight such gymnasts, levels 7, 8 and 9. The NC State Meet will be held at the new Topsail High School gymnasium in Hampstead on Friday, March 19th through Sunday, March 21, 2010. In 2009, one of PCG’s top athletes, Emily McKinney, competed in the Level 8 Regionals in Atlanta, Georgia. This year, she will be competing for a spot in the Level 9 Regionals to be held in Clemson, South Carolina; where she will try for an opportunity to compete in the Level 9 Eastern Division Championships in Charleston, West Virginia. Encourage your local gymnasts and experience the true beauty and strength of these young women, March 19-21, 2010 - Topsail High School.
